Position Summary
The Facility Manager will oversee grain being received, stored, and shipped while ensuring the facility is run safely and efficiently.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Selects, trains, and develops elevator operations staff and seasonal employees
- Supervises elevator operations staff and conducts employee reviews
- Oversees the daily work of the facility and equipment maintenance
- Manages the work of employees in the movement of grain between bins at the facility
- Maintain grain quality by segregating, drying, blending, and aerating grain
- Ensure safety meetings are held regularly, and safety records and training are kept up to date
- Maintain accountability for safety in all aspects of operations per OSHA guidelines
- Ensure the integrity of the specialty crop program
- Develop relationships with facility employees as well as farmers and truck drivers.
Education, Experience, and Licensure
- High School graduate with five years of prior experience
- AS or BS degree preferred
- Dependable/flexible in work hours to meet the needs of customers and during harvest
